Pickleball at Central Park
CityPickle is once again transforming Central Park’s Wollman Rink into the largest pickleball space in the Northeast. Players of the nation’s fastest-growing sport will be opening 14 courts for daily play starting April 4, 2025 and reservations open at noon on March 28, 2025. CityPickle is offering Sonesta Hotels of New York guests free paddle rentals, redeemable by showing a room key or reservation confirmation from the hotel.
“A Lively Mind: Jane Austen at 250” at The Morgan Library & Museum
Discover the story of Jane Austen’s rise to fame at A Lively Mind: Jane Austen at 250 at The Morgan Library & Museum, featuring rare artifacts, manuscripts, and artworks from her life. This exhibit explores her literary journey, personal style, and enduring global legacy (June 6 – September 14, 2025).
The Vessel
The Vessel recently reopened at Hudson Yard. This is a striking spiral structure that offers unique views of the city and Hudson River and beyond. The monument consists of 154 intricately connected flights of stairs, forming a cylindrical, vessel-like structure inspired in part by ancient Indian stepwells. Inside, visitors can ascend nearly 2,500 steps and stand on 80 landings, each offering unique vantage points to view the city through this massive work of art.
NYBG The Orchid Show
Step into a world of floral fun at this year’s Orchid Show at The New York Botanical Garden, “The Orchid Show: Florals in Fashion”, where whimsical blooms and vibrant hues transform the garden into a magical wonderland of orchid enchantment and fashionable flowers. Three up-and-coming designers created massive installations inspired by these fashionable flowers. In one, you’ll see orchids turned into avant-garde clothing. Another features a regal orchid queen (February 17 – April 21, 2024).

New York Botanical Gardens – Orchid Show
The annual Orchid Show returns to the New York Botanical Gardens. This year’s show spotlights the vibrant setting of Mexico. The Orchid Show: Mexican Modernism features thousands of orchids inspired by the bold, multicolored designs of Mexican modernist architect Luis Barragán (February 15 – April 27, 2025).
The Met: Roof Garden Commission
Witness sweeping views of Central Park, with this year’s Roof Garden commission at The Met, an outdoor sculptural installation commissioned by Jennie C. Jones, and enjoy drinks on the Met’s rooftop garden bar. Jennie C. Jones’ Ensemble, will explore the sonic potential of stringed instruments as well as their formal possibilities. In the artist’s unique response to modernism, these acoustic sculptures propose the line of the string as a proxy for art history, unbroken and continuous (April 15, 2024 through October 19, 2025).
Bronx Zoo Dino Safari
Step into a prehistoric world at the Bronx Zoo Dinosaur Safari. Starting April 12th, explore over 60 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, including 11 new additions that move and roar. Walk through giant ribcages, climb a Sinraptor fossil, and pose with massive Maiasaura eggs in this enhanced immersive experience.
